At the River Candle: If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there, you’re sure to fall in love with this sunny scent.
Inspired by the song and Cape Cod bay, this scent is reminiscent of all those gorgeous walks along the waterfront when the sun stretches across the landscape and a gentle breeze picks up the scent of warm sand, salt water and coastal trees. Whether it’s running free along the beach, picking a trail along the river or exploring a lake hidden deep in the forest, every dog loves discovering water.

Product Information
Top notes of lemon verbena & bergamot, heart notes of water lily & sea salt and base notes of driftwood & spruce.
Most luxury candles only use synthetic fragrance oils to create their aromas. Those that claim to be odour neutralising either just mask smells or claim to use specialist chemicals or enzymes to eliminate odour molecules.
Dog-about-town doesn’t believe in using unnecessary chemicals around our beloved pooches and harsh enzymatic cleaners can only ever be effective through direct surface contact (i.e. using cleaning products and elbow grease – not simply lighting a candle).
This luxury range of odour neutralising fragrances have been designed with you and your family in mind. Made using 100% sustainable and natural vegetable wax, high quality phthalate-free perfumes and a carefully curated mix of pure essential oils that are proven to have anti-microbial, anti-fungal and cleansing properties to naturally neutralise pet and other household odours in the air.
How to get the best from your candle
On first use allow the candle to melt across the entire surface of the container before extinguishing. Don’t burn the candle for any longer than 2-3 hours at a time and trim the wick to 5mm before each use to ensure there is no soot build up. These steps allow the odour neutralising essential oils to sufficiently heat up and release their cleansing properties in to the air. It also means your candle will burn efficiently and last longer.
Tip from the perfumer: to prolong this beautiful aroma, instead of blowing out the candle you should extinguish the flame by dipping the wick in to the molten wax. Always ensure the wick is upright again before the wax hardens.
