Natural Yak Chews – Long-Lasting Dog Treat

Inspired by a traditional Himalayan recipe, these natural chews were originally crafted as a protein-rich snack for mountain communities. That same concept has been transformed into a wholesome, long-lasting treat designed for small dogs.

Each chew is made from a blend of skimmed yak and cow milk. A small amount of lime juice and salt is added to harden the milk, which is then compressed and smoke-dried for 28 days. This process creates a dense, flavorful chew that dogs find irresistible.

These treats are rich in protein and calcium, low in fat, and made entirely from natural ingredients. They contain no preservatives or chemical binding agents, making them a healthy choice for dogs with sensitive diets.

The firm texture encourages extended chewing, helping to keep dogs engaged while promoting dental health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup.

Yak chews for dogs contain very little lactose—typically less than 1%—because the milk used is fermented, dried, and hardened, which removes most of the lactose. This makes them generally safe even for dogs that are mildly lactose intolerant, though sensitive pups may still react.

Once your dog has chewed down to the final piece, you can microwave it for 30–60 seconds until it puffs up. Let it cool before offering it back as a crunchy bonus snack.
